Traditional Shrimp Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cooked rice
  • 1 pound Shrimp
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped Onion
  • 1/2 cup diced Carrot
  • 2 cloves minced Garlic

Instructions

  1. 1Cook rice according to package directions and let cool slightly.
  2. 2Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. 3Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. 4Add onion and carrot to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. 5Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  6. 6Push vegetables to one side of the skillet and crack eggs into the empty space. Scramble the eggs until cooked through.
  7. 7Add rice, peas, and cooked shrimp to the skillet. Pour soy sauce over the mixture and stir-fry until everything is heated through and well combined.
  8. 8Serve immediately.
