Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Tortellini
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Sage
  • 1/4 cup, grated Parmesan Cheese
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cook the chicken tortellini according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. 2While the tortellini is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. 3Continue cooking the butter, swirling the pan occasionally, until it turns a nutty brown color and has a fragrant aroma (about 5-7 minutes). Be careful not to burn it.
  4. 4Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the dried sage.
  5. 5Add the cooked and drained tortellini to the skillet with the brown butter sage sauce. Toss to coat.
  6. 6Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Add a little of the reserved pasta water if needed to create a creamy sauce.
