Caprese Skewers

A simple and refreshing Italian snack featuring cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 8 oz small mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • to drizzle balsamic glaze
  • as needed marinated artichoke hearts (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. If using, drain the marinated artichoke hearts and cut them in half or quarters, depending on their size.
  2. 2Thread a cherry tomato, a mozzarella ball, and a basil leaf onto a skewer. Repeat the pattern until the skewer is mostly full, leaving a little space at the end to hold it. If using, add a piece of artichoke heart to each skewer.
  3. 3Arrange the skewers on a serving plate.
  4. 4Drizzle balsamic glaze over the skewers just before serving.
